Buddy’s is a small local charity founded by Jane Lord (left) and run by a board of trustees and local volunteers.

Buddy’s was set up to support children with Autism and their families.  We are currently based in Bury, Greater Manchester, England,  but one day, with your support, we may be UK-wide and have international sister clubs!

There is no such thing as “normal”. People with autism are just different – their brains work in a different way.

Autism involves developmental, educational, societal, existential, political and philosophical issues.

As visitor to this website you are invited to find out more about Autism and how you can help our work.

Our regular weekly clubs and events are run by our enthusiastic and wonderful local volunteers.

If you would like to volunteer or can help us in other ways, please Contact Us.

Registered Charity Number 1172216

We are looking for new premises.  If you can help us, please Contact Us.

Being autistic does not mean you have an illness or disease. It means your brain works in a different way from other people.
